About the course

What is the Debunk The Quran course?

It's a comprehensive training system with 86 lessons across two phases designed to equip Christians for respectful, informed dialogue with Muslims. Phase 1 examines five major Islamic claims using the Quran, Hadith, and Torah. Phase 2 builds five biblical foundations that offer an alternative narrative. The course doesn't rely on insults or gotcha tactics — it uses Islam's own sources alongside Scripture to let the texts speak for themselves.

Who created this course?

The course is inspired by "The Master Key" framework developed by Pastors Greg Armstrong and Alex Kerimli, who spent years researching Islamic theology alongside the Bible using a Sola Scriptura strategy. This online course design, any amendments and training materials were developed and organized by Loretta Worley, a former U.S. Army Combat Medic who is married to a Muslim man and brings both personal experience and theological study to the work.

How much does the course cost?

The course is completely free. The goal is to equip as many Christians as possible for meaningful interfaith conversations, not to create a paywall around that knowledge.

How long does it take to complete?

With 68 lessons across two phases, the course is designed to be taken at your own pace. Some students move through a few lessons per week, others go deeper and spend more time with individual topics. There's no deadline and no pressure — the material will be here when you're ready for it.

Do I need any background in theology or Islamic studies?

No. The course is built for the general public not religious scholars (although you may feel like a scholar when you finish). Each lesson builds upon the one before it, and complex concepts are broken down with clear explanations, scripture references, and visual tools. If you can read and follow along, you're prepared enough.

About the approach

Why use the Quran and Hadith? Aren't those Islamic texts?

That's exactly why we use them. If you want to have an honest conversation with a Muslim, you need to understand what they believe and where those beliefs come from. This course examines what Islamic sources actually say — not what people assume they say — and places them alongside what the Torah and Bible say about the same events, figures, and claims. This isn't about attacking Islam from the outside. It's about reading the sources side by side and letting the contradictions and confirmations reveal themselves.

Is this course anti-Muslim?

No. It's pro-truth and pro-dialogue. There's a difference between critiquing a theological system and hating the people who follow it. The entire framework is built on the belief that Muslims deserve honest engagement with their own texts, not dismissal or hostility. Many of the people who benefit most from this material are in close relationships with Muslims — spouses, family members, friends, co-workers — and they're here because they care, not because they're looking for ammunition.

Does this course teach people to argue with Muslims?

It teaches people to have informed conversations, not arguments. There's a difference between showing up to a dialogue having done your homework and showing up looking for a fight. The course equips the student with knowledge of both Islamic and biblical texts so that when the conversation happens — and it will — you can engage with confidence and respect rather than awkward silence or uninformed pushback.

How is this different from other apologetics resources?

Most Christian apologetics resources approach Islam from the outside — summarizing what Muslims believe and then offering a Christian rebuttal. The Master Key framework works differently. It starts inside Islamic sources, examines what the Quran and Hadith actually claim, compares those claims against the Torah that the Quran itself tells Muslims to consult, and then presents the biblical narrative. It's a guided walk through the texts themselves rather than a lecture about them.

for muslims visiting the site

I'm a Muslim. Should I be offended by this site?

That depends on how you feel about examining your own sources and the Surah 4:82 challenge. This course doesn't fabricate claims about Islam — it cites sources that you can look up and verify for yourself.

Are you trying to convert Muslims to Christianity?

We're trying to present the biblical narrative honestly and let people make their own informed decisions. The course doesn't hide the fact that it's built from a Christian perspective — the name of the site makes that clear. But conversion is the work of the Holy Spirit, not a website. What we can do is make sure the information is accurate, accessible, and presented with integrity.

Does this site misrepresent Islamic teachings?

Every Islamic reference in the course is cited with its source — Surah and Ayah for Quranic references, specific Hadith collections and numbers, and recognized Tafsir commentaries. You're encouraged to verify every reference yourself. If something is quoted here, it's because it exists in the source material. The citations are there so you never have to take our word for it.

for churches and ministry leaders

Can this course be used in a church or small group setting?

Absolutely. The two-phase structure lends itself well to group study. Phase 1 can be covered in a series of sessions cross-examining Islamic claims, and Phase 2 builds the Christian's response and teaches "The Roman's Road" to lead Muslims to Christ once Phase 1 is confirmed successful. The lesson-by-lesson format means a group leader can assign one or two lessons per week and facilitate discussion around them.

Can you help our church set up its own training platform?

Yes. We offer branding and online marketing assistance for churches that want their own platform to deliver training materials to their congregation and host their own private, branded community. This includes the course content, student tracking, community features, and automated engagement workflows. Reach out to Loretta Worley at [email protected] for details and pricing.

Is this appropriate for youth groups or younger audiences?

If they're old enough to be taught the Bible, they're old enough to learn how to defend it. The course material is critical for every generation to learn but even more imperative for the youngest generations as they will be bearing the brunt of defending their faith and winning over Muslims who have entered western Christian lands by the millions. For younger youth groups, a leader would want to preview the material and adapt it to their group's level.

interactive tools

What are the flashcards for?

The flashcard system is a study tool that helps reinforce key concepts, scripture references, and Islamic source citations covered in the lessons. Think of them as the drills after the lecture — they help move information from short-term understanding to long-term recall so you can draw on it naturally during real conversations.

What do the interactive maps show?

The Google Maps trace Abraham's journey and other key biblical narratives across the actual geography where they took place. You can toggle between layers showing the Torah account, the Quranic account, and the Hadith traditions to see where the narratives align and where they diverge. Each location includes scripture citations from all three sources.
